Joining us on this Music Of Your Life Cruise was Buddy Morrow and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra!
I've led many groups on this ship when she was known as the Crown Odyssey, and now she has been lengthened, refurbished and refreshed by her new owners, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines.
I was a little apprehensive about the changes on the ship but Fred Olsen did it right and this ship is a Jewel! The on board musical entertainment was some of the best I have seen or heard on any ship. After 20 plus cruises I think I'm a pretty good judge of what is good and what passengers like. What follows is my review of the ship and the cruise itself. I took all of these pictures and have posted the best to represent the ship and the cruise.

Embarking the Balmoral on Deck 6 I felt like I was back home again. I was delighted to see the reception and atrium unchanged and in pristine condition. On the main floor there used to be a small sundries shop and a small library. These have been replaced with the Future Cruise Office, Customer Relations and the Photo Gallery and Office. In the past all photo sales were handled at the Shore Tours desk. This is now much more convenient since they now also sell digital frames, film, memory cards, batteries and top notch digital cameras.

Proceeding up the stairs you'll find the on board shops selling clothes, jewelry, perfume, books, health and hygene items as well as assorted snacks, candies and souvieners.
